How to join MyFans from outside Japan (2026)
MyFans accepts users from outside Japan. Here’s the whole process in five steps, plus fixes for the usual problems.
1. Create an account (email)
Sign up with your email address, then confirm it with the link in the email MyFans sends you.
2. Switch the site to English
Use MyFans’ own language setting. Don’t rely on your browser’s auto-translate — it can break the page.
3. Verify your phone
MyFans asks you to verify a phone number before your first payment. You’ll get a 6-digit code by SMS or voice call. Japanese 050 numbers can’t be used, and one phone number can be used for one account only.
4. Add a card
Visa, Mastercard or JCB — credit, debit or prepaid. Amex isn’t accepted. Japanese pay-later services such as Paidy and atone need a Japanese phone number.
5. Join a creator’s plan
Prices are in Japanese yen (JPY). Your bank converts the amount to your currency.
Troubleshooting
- Card declined: your bank may block international or adult-site payments. Ask your bank to allow them.
- No verification email: check your spam folder. Hotmail / Outlook addresses sometimes don’t receive it — try another provider such as Gmail.
- Renewal dates: renewals run on Japan time (UTC+9). Cancel at least a day early to be safe.
- Posts are in Japanese: creators’ captions aren’t translated.
Do I need a VPN?
No. MyFans works from outside Japan.
